Frequently Asked Questions

How can I find my school?
The easiest way is often to begin typing the name of the school you are interested in into the box in the upper right corner of the screen.
Results should begin filling in as you type.
You may also visit the Home page of the site to browse by state->city->school.

Where does your data come from?
A variety of sources. The school-level data in regards to student numbers, full-time teachers, free lunches, and reduced lunches typically comes from the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).
School assessment data comes from the state the school belongs to.
Sources can typically be found at the bottom of each page on our site (for schools, cities, and states).
